There is so much more to Christmas than what we see and hear on the radio, television, internet and in the shop windows.

Christmas is about Jesus! When I look into that crib, I see the greatest teacher that ever lived. The only way that we can ever get to heaven is through Him, and His sacrifice on that cross.

The Apostle Paul said, “May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” (Galatians 6:14).

During this Christmas season, when the world seems to be in turmoil, wars are breaking out in different places, crime is rampant, and so many things are happening that are great sins in the sight of God. However, in that crib is the person who grew into the man who would provide a way to save us all – AND HE DID!

It is here where the Son of God died on the cross and suffered as few men have ever suffered. He was pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Out of sheer love, it is He who made it possible for us to escape the consequences of our own sin, and to be reconciled to God once and for all.

Praise God we have this great privilege to ask Him into our hearts and receive Him as our Saviour through faith, repentance and daily surrendering to Him. He has made it possible to completely change our lives for the good. Have a truly blessed Christmas, by making sure that you give your life to Jesus Christ over, and over, and over, and over again…

May the joy of Christmas, the identity of Christ, the birth of Christ, the life of Christ, the death of Christ, the resurrection of Christ, the everlasting reign of Christ, light up your life from this day forth, and into eternity.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone, and God bless you, your family, and your friends.

From everyone at the GREAT COMMISSION SOCIETY.
